The project aims to outline a tourism-driven vision and develop an illustrative masterplan for “Spring,” a new city located in the mountainous region of southwestern Saudi Arabia, with the objective of stimulating the tourism sector.

The city is planned to cover a total area of 5,160 hectares.

The ambition for Spring is to create a destination deeply rooted in the natural beauty of its landscape. Its high altitude and rugged terrain offer a unique setting, fully leveraging the surrounding panoramic views as well as the region’s historical and cultural assets.

Architecture C had the privilege of contributing to the development of this prestigious project, having been selected as one of the architectural firms entrusted with designing a plot exceeding 130 hectares within a 440-hectare development area.

The pilot project program includes a 4-star hotel (374 keys), serviced 4-star apartments (187 keys), serviced chalets (200 keys), apartments (224 keys), townhouses (77 units), villas (66 units), retail spaces (30,000 sqm), a 5-star hotel (350 keys), as well as a souk with cultural facilities and a heritage village.

The mission consists in defining the identity of a specific district by designing and visualizing its conceptual architecture. The proposed design language draws inspiration from the Asir style.
