Inspired by the Al Quaraouiyine Mosque in Fez, Morocco, this project is rooted in an ambitious vision at the intersection of architectural heritage and modernity. From the earliest design stages, the objective was to create an iconic mosque, destined to become one of the most significant in the world, while seamlessly integrating into the emerging urban fabric and establishing itself as a major landmark in everyday life.

Conceived as a true point of reference within the city, the mosque asserts itself on the skyline as a strong and recognizable architectural statement. Its design encompasses urban, social, religious, cultural, stylistic, technological and environmental dimensions, with the ambition of meeting the highest contemporary standards.

The main challenge lay in reconciling the elegance of Moroccan architectural heritage, inspired by Al Quaraouiyine, with a monumental scale shaped by a distinctly contemporary vision aligned with 21st century Saudi Arabia.

Through this project, the ambition was to envision a mosque of the future, a place of spirituality, transmission and gathering, open to the city and embedded in a sustainable, interactive and vibrant environment, where culture, hospitality and collective uses converge within a unified vision.
